Nestle Names Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen as Nespresso CEO, starting 1 November 2025. He will also be part of the Group Executive Board.
Nespresso leadership change
Since 2020, Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen has been the CEO of Nespresso North America where he leads operations in the U.S. and Canada, and Mexico. Under his leadership, he directed the growth of the Nespresso Vertuo system which was growing with double digits and market share.
The position makes him in charge of Nespresso across the globe, where he will be instrumental in the company pursuing their international expansion plan, as well as enhancing the brand in the segmented coffee market.
Career within Nestle
Gonzalez Loeschen started working at Nestle in Mexico in 1992 as an assistant marketing manager. He has had a history of serving in various leadership roles in the fields of marketing and general management over the period of over 30 years in Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States.
He had worked in the Beverage Division of Nestle USA as the Vice-President of Marketing, Nestle in Puerto Rico as the General Manager and Nespresso as the Chief Marketing Officer before taking his current position in North America.
New responsibilities
Gonzalez Loeschen, as the CEO of Nespresso, will lead the global operations of the brand, where he will be working on performance, execution, and long-term expansion. Having worked in the marketing, business leadership, and category development fields, he is well-positioned to drive Nespresso to the next stage of growth.
He replaces Guillaume Le Cunff who has been in charge of Nespresso around the world since 2020. Leadership transition is a continuation of Nestle emphasis on expansion and implementation of its coffee business, which is one of the core classifications of the group.
Educational background
Gonzalez Loeschen has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores Monterrey in Mexico.
