Hillshire Farm Moves into Frozen Aisle with New Sandwich Range

-

Hillshire Farm is going frozen for the first time.
The Tyson Foods brand just rolled out a new range of Stuffed Croissants and Ciabatta Deli Sandwiches, aiming to give shoppers a simple, ready-in-minutes meal using the meats they already know from the deli.

The croissants are buttery and soft, filled with options like Ham & Cheese, Buffalo Chicken, and Philly-Style Cheesesteak. Each has around 9 to 12 grams of protein.
The ciabatta range is heavier — 20 to 25 grams of protein — with choices such as Chicken Pesto, Italiano, and Turkey & Bacon.

Tyson said the new Hillshire Farm frozen line will be on shelves nationwide by the end of October.
For retailers, it adds more variety to the frozen meal section and another way to work with Tyson’s strong brand lineup — including Jimmy Dean and Ball Park.

The move also follows a broader trend: shoppers still want quick, filling food, but with better flavor and higher protein.
By entering frozen, Hillshire Farm joins a fast-growing category that mixes deli quality with freezer convenience.
