Ocado highlights partner success in online grocery operations

-

Ocado Group has outlined how its Partner Success team is helping supermarket retailers improve online grocery performance through operational support, technology deployment and fulfilment optimisation across its global partner network.

The update, published on 6 July, highlights the role of the team in supporting retailers using the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP). According to the company, the approach combines local operational support with specialist expertise to help partners improve warehouse efficiency, logistics performance and long-term business growth.

Ocado said its Partner Success teams work closely with live OSP partners to identify opportunities for operational improvements while helping retailers adapt to changing customer demand and the growing complexity of online grocery fulfilment.

One of the key performance highlights shared by the company is that productivity across its Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) network recorded average double-digit improvements during the 2025 financial year. Ocado also reported that one partner increased warehouse labour productivity by around one-third over a five-month period through process improvements, site upgrades and the rollout of its Re:Imagined technology.

The company said its support extends beyond supplying technology, with teams working alongside retail partners on warehouse operations, fulfilment planning, logistics and ecommerce development to improve overall performance.

As demand for online grocery shopping continues to evolve, retailers are placing greater emphasis on automation, efficient fulfilment and scalable ecommerce infrastructure. Technology providers such as Ocado are increasingly positioning themselves as long-term operational partners rather than software suppliers.

What happens next?

Ocado is expected to continue expanding operational support for retailers using the Ocado Smart Platform as partners invest in warehouse automation, fulfilment efficiency and digital grocery capabilities to strengthen their online businesses.
