Gosh has expanded its Super Plants range with two new plant-based burgers launching in Tesco stores nationwide and online.
The new products are Thai Style Broccoli & Red Pepper with Ginger & Lemongrass and Three Bean with Lemon & Garlic. Both are priced at £3.25 for a 200g pack.
The Thai-style burger contains 18 different plants and provides 8.6g of fibre and 8.1g of protein per serving. The Three Bean variant contains 16 plants, with 10g of fibre and 8.7g of protein per serving.
Gosh is positioning the range around whole-food ingredients, fibre, protein and plant diversity rather than direct imitation of meat. The company said the burgers are made from minimally processed ingredients and were developed with chefs and registered nutritionist Becca Meadows.
The launch follows the introduction of Super Plants Sausages earlier this year and extends the brand’s push into products that combine plant-based positioning with functional nutrition claims.
Marketing director Caroline Hughes said shoppers increasingly expect products to deliver health and wellbeing benefits as well as taste.
The Tesco rollout also gives the range national supermarket distribution at a time when plant-based suppliers are refining their offer around nutrition, value and everyday meal occasions rather than relying only on meat-replacement messaging.
