FRICON Heads to GulfHost 2026 With Cooling Range

-

FRICON will exhibit at GulfHost 2026 in Dubai from 3–5 November, bringing its commercial refrigeration portfolio to one of the Middle East’s major hospitality and foodservice equipment events.

The Portuguese refrigeration specialist will be based in Za’abeel Hall 4, Stand Z4-F68 at Dubai World Trade Centre. GulfHost’s official exhibitor listing places FRICON among the international suppliers showing equipment and technology for hospitality, foodservice and related retail operations.

The 2026 event will run alongside Gulfood Manufacturing, ISM Middle East and Private Label Middle East, creating a wider meeting point for manufacturers, operators, buyers and suppliers across food production, hospitality, retail and private-label supply chains.

FRICON arrives in Dubai during a significant year for the business. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades since its foundation in Portugal in 1976.

Over that period, FRICON has expanded from its Portuguese manufacturing base into an international refrigeration supplier with a presence in more than 130 countries. Its product activity spans supermarkets, ice cream and frozen foods, beverages and mobile refrigeration, giving the company exposure to both food retail and foodservice applications.

GSN has previously covered FRICON’s 50-year development in commercial refrigeration, including the company’s international growth and focus on more efficient refrigeration systems.

At GulfHost, that experience puts FRICON in front of a market increasingly focused on operating efficiency. Hospitality and foodservice businesses across the region are under pressure to manage energy use, equipment performance and operating costs while continuing to invest in modern store, kitchen and service environments.

GulfHost itself is positioning energy-efficient systems, smart equipment and practical operational technology as important parts of the 2026 show. For refrigeration manufacturers, those priorities are closely tied to product design, energy consumption, temperature performance, maintenance requirements and the move towards lower-impact refrigeration technologies.

FRICON has increasingly centred its product development around efficiency, design and environmental performance. The company has also highlighted the use of natural refrigerants, energy-saving technologies and more sustainable product development as part of its long-term refrigeration strategy.

That direction is visible across FRICON’s commercial range, which includes plug-in supermarket cabinets, beverage coolers, frozen-food displays and other equipment designed for retailers and food operators that need flexible refrigeration without complex installation requirements.

GulfHost also gives FRICON another platform to strengthen its presence in international markets. Trade exhibitions have formed part of the company’s expansion strategy for years, helping it build relationships with distributors, retailers, hospitality groups and other commercial customers outside Portugal.

The Middle East remains an important market for suppliers of refrigeration, foodservice and hospitality equipment as new hotels, restaurants, cafés, catering operations and retail concepts continue to increase demand for efficient commercial systems.

For FRICON, the Dubai show comes after a year in which the company has used its 50th anniversary to underline both its manufacturing heritage and its next phase of product development. Its participation at GulfHost extends that anniversary activity into another international market and provides a direct opportunity to meet buyers looking for refrigeration technology suited to modern food retail and foodservice operations.

Visitors can meet FRICON at GulfHost 2026 in Za’abeel Hall 4, Stand Z4-F68, at Dubai World Trade Centre from 3–5 November 2026.
