Beyond Meat is expanding the retail availability of its Beyond Steak Filet in the United States, with the product set to roll out at Meijer stores this month. The expansion follows recent launches at Wegmans and H-E-B, giving more consumers access to the company’s whole-cut plant-based steak alternative.
Beyond Meat announced the expansion on 7 July 2026, saying the move builds on strong demand since Beyond Steak Filet debuted through the company’s direct-to-consumer website in October 2025.
The product is made with mycelium and avocado oil and contains 28g of plant protein, 3g of fibre and 1g of saturated fat per serving. It is also one of more than 20 Beyond Meat products to receive Clean Label Project Certification and is Non-GMO Project Verified.
Beyond Meat said Beyond Steak Filet has become its best-selling product on its direct-to-consumer website since launch, supporting the decision to expand distribution through additional supermarket retailers.
The latest rollout reflects continued investment in the plant-based protein category as retailers broaden product choice for consumers seeking meat alternatives. By adding Meijer to its retail network, Beyond Meat is increasing the product’s availability across regional supermarket chains in the US.
For supermarkets, expanding premium plant-based ranges can help meet demand for products that combine higher protein content with clean-label credentials. Retailers continue to evaluate new products that differentiate their fresh and frozen meat alternative assortments.
Beyond Meat is expected to continue expanding retail distribution of Beyond Steak Filet as it seeks to reach more shoppers through supermarket channels.
