Blue Diamond Growers’ Turlock facility has been officially recertified through the California Green Business Network, part of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce’s Stanislaus County program.
This latest recognition continues the company’s efforts in environmental stewardship and sustainable operations.
In 2021, the Turlock and Salida sites became the first in Stanislaus County to earn Green Business Certification.
With this 2025 milestone, the Turlock plant is also the first to receive recertification under the same program.
The Green Business Certification is awarded to businesses that meet strict standards in reducing water use, saving energy, cutting pollution, increasing recycling, reducing waste, supporting local vendors, and encouraging greener transportation.
The award was presented at a ceremony held on June 30 at the Turlock plant.
The Modesto Chamber of Commerce organized the event.
Attendees included Blue Diamond leadership, along with representatives from Congressman Tom McClintock’s office, State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil’s office, and the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.
Turlock Mayor Amy Bublak also joined the ceremony.
The 250,000-square-foot plant is located at 1300 N. Washington Road in Turlock.
It marked its 12th anniversary this July and is led by site director Travis Hill.
The facility processes almonds for use in cereals, snack bars, yogurt toppings, baked goods, and candies.
It also prepares the beverage base for Almond Breeze® Almondmilk and produces Blue Diamond Almond Flour and other almond-based products.
Blue Diamond Growers also supports sustainability at the farm level.
The company takes part in the California Almond Sustainability Program (CASP), run by the Almond Board of California.
CASP enables growers to exchange information regarding such practices as soil health, pollinator sustainability, water and biodiversity.
