Nestlé Launches Mucininho in Brazil

-

Nestlé Brazil has launched Mucininho, a new powdered drink product that combines the nutrition of Mucilon with the flavor of Ninho for children over three years old in Brazil.

The company said the new product was developed for children transitioning from spoon-fed porridge to drinking from cups. The product is designed to be mixed with milk and positioned as a breakfast and snack option for families.

According to Nestlé, the launch follows changing consumption habits in Brazilian households, where older children are moving away from traditional cereal porridge formats.

Mucininho will be sold in 160g and 560g pack sizes through retail channels across Brazil.

The launch expands the company’s child nutrition portfolio and strengthens Nestlé’s position inside Brazil’s growing fortified dairy and cereal segment.

The product also reflects wider FMCG trends around convenience-led family nutrition, added-value dairy products, and functional grocery categories aimed at young children.

Why it matters

Child nutrition remains one of the most competitive categories inside supermarkets and FMCG retail.

Large food manufacturers are increasingly developing hybrid products that combine convenience, nutrition, and established household brands to maintain long-term customer loyalty.

For retailers, products like Mucininho can help drive repeat purchases across milk, cereal, and family grocery categories while supporting premium nutrition positioning inside stores.

Nestlé said the new product forms part of the broader expansion of the Mucilon nutritional portfolio in Brazil.
