Nomad Foods CEO Appointment 2025: Brisby to Succeed Descheemaeker

-

Nomad Foods has picked Dominic Brisby as its next chief executive.

He steps in on November 3, starting as Executive President and CEO-Elect. He’ll work beside Stéfan Descheemaeker, who plans to retire at the start of 2026.

Descheemaeker has led Nomad since 2015. In that time, the group became the largest frozen food company in Europe and kept steady growth through some rough years. He will stay on the board as a non-executive director.

Brisby joins from Flora Food Group, where he ran business in North America and Europe. Before that, he worked at Imperial Brands, overseeing several regions.

Nomad said the handover has been planned for months to make sure the shift is smooth. The board called Brisby’s background in brand building and cost control “a strong fit” for the company’s next phase.

Under Descheemaeker, Nomad Foods delivered nine straight years of revenue and profit growth. Adjusted earnings per share have nearly doubled since 2016.

Brisby said he’s ready to lead “a company built on trusted brands.” He pointed to nutrition, convenience, value, and sustainability as the big themes driving demand in frozen food.

Nomad Foods owns supermarket staples such as Birds Eye, Findus, iglo, Ledo, and Frikom, and supplies nearly every major grocery chain across Europe.

The leadership change puts one of Europe’s biggest frozen food suppliers under new direction for the first time in a decade.
