25 September 2025: The RECOUP Conference 2025 will take place at the KingsGate Conference Centre in Peterborough, bringing together stakeholders from across the plastics value chain to address challenges in recycling and circularity. Sponsored by Amcor, WRAP, and Ecosurety, the event remains the UK’s leading forum for plastics resource efficiency.
This year’s RECOUP Conference 2025 comes at a vital moment. Due to increased pressure to improve their policies, innovative ideas, and power of infrastructure, the industry is undergoing increased pressure. In order to address those challenges, the programme will be divided into three primary parts corresponding to the critical issues today:
Is Plastic Circularity in UK a Possibility? In this session we examine the disconnect between what we say we want and what we are doing. It examines the direction of investment, which innovation barriers still exist, and which upgrades need to be made on infrastructure.
The Plastic paradox- Plastic Fact vs Plastic Fiction. This session discusses the issue of public opinion, environmental effect, and the current discussion of the greenwashing and novel material technologies. Industry leaders shall comment on how to reach the consumers and at the same time observe stern regulations and sustainability regulations.
Attaining Plastic Circularity Systems – an International Outlook. This session would not only look at the UK but would also examine best policy and system designs, in other countries. It demonstrates the way of how the experience of other countries can inform that of the UK.
Speakers at the RECOUP Conference 2025 include representatives from Greenback Recycling Technologies, Faerch UK, CIWM, Waitrose, EXPRA, WWF, the University of Portsmouth, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Viridor, REPAK, and Barclays.
The packaging designers, recyclers, retailers, academics and government officials are accessible to the attendees through networking opportunities. They will also have access to trend reports, policy reports, and case studies that will help them to know about the entire plastics ecosystem.
With input from big brands, policymakers, and recyclers, the RECOUP Conference 2025 will shape the next phase of plastics recovery and circular innovation in the UK and around the world. Such event will give important insights, new collaborations, and evident strategic advice to everyone considering circular plastics in the future.
