Kasai City and AEON Co., Ltd have concluded a new Regional Partnership Agreement to revitalize regional society by promoting the local collaboration. On Monday, 30 June 2025 the contract was officially signed.
The Regional Partnership Agreement is the combination of the local government of the Kasai City, which is located at Hyogo Prefecture of Japan, and AEON Co., Ltd, which is one of the largest retail groups in Japan. The two are interested in the enhancement of cooperation, which involves the exchange of human and intellectual resources, as well as, the joint realization of regional development objectives.
The two will strive towards enhancement of community-based relationships, implementation of new programs to support the locals and long-term structures of social and economic influence. The initiative represents continuing work to coordinate public-private resources in solving local problems and bringing in sustainable life force.
The City of Kasai and AEON exchanged details about the agreement. It was signed by the current Kasai Mayor Takahashi Haruhiko and the AEON President Yoshida Akio. The resolution is a form of official progression on the systematic platform to co-work between the city administration and business.
Kasai City and AEON assured that the area of collaboration would change as time is passing by, focusing on the demand of the community and its possibilities to work together. Spotlight areas are likely to consist of local growth, disaster readiness, environmental efforts as well as aiding regional companies.
This Regional Partnership Agreement is a commitment by Kasai City and AEON to act together on regional issues through the strengths of each side in order to take the long-lasting change
The Regional Partnership Agreement shall be used as a platform upon which AEON and the local governments all over Japan shall work in the future.
