Albert Heijn and the Albert Heijn Franchisee Association (VAHFR) have reached an agreement on new future-proof arrangements.
This strengthens both parties’ collaboration. The legal procedure that has been ongoing since 2014 will also be terminated in good consultation.
Franchising has been part of Albert Heijn’s business for over forty years. More than 130 entrepreneurs operate over 300 stores across the Netherlands.
Their local involvement and customer focus support Albert Heijn’s national presence.
The new agreement includes compensation for AH online, recognition of the role in Albert Heijn’s omnichannel strategy, and the use of digital screens. Store marketing agreements are also part of the update.
These changes are designed to support joint growth. The agreement also ends the legal procedure that began in 2014.
