General Mills is launching a new range of Super Mario Galaxy Movie themed foods ahead of the film’s global theatrical release on 1 April 2026.
The limited-edition products include cereals, cookies and fruit snacks inspired by characters from Nintendo and Illumination’s upcoming animated film, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The launch expands the company’s strategy of combining well-known food brands with entertainment partnerships to create seasonal retail promotions.
Several of the products will appear across major retailers in the United States, while some items will be offered exclusively through Walmart stores and its online platform.
Limited-edition cereals and snacks
The new lineup includes products from well-known brands in the company’s portfolio.
Among the releases is Lucky Charms Strawberry Cereal with Galactic Marshmallows, a special edition version of the cereal featuring strawberry-flavoured cereal pieces and marshmallows shaped like planets and stars.
The company is also introducing Pillsbury Ready to Bake Yoshi Shape Sugar Cookie Dough, designed with egg-inspired cookie shapes based on the character Yoshi.
Another launch includes a Fruit Roll-Ups Variety Pack featuring flavours such as Strawberry Blast, Tropical Tie-Dye and Blue Razzberry.
Each pack includes themed tongue tattoos linked to the movie promotion.

Another item is a Super Mario Mystery Box, a collectible package containing a pouch of Blue Raspberry Trix cereal inside a Yoshi Egg themed container.
These exclusive items will be available in Walmart stores and through Walmart’s online platform during the promotional campaign.

Alongside the new products, the company said more than 100 participating items across its portfolio will feature connections to the film promotion.
Brands involved in the wider campaign include Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Nature Valley and Totino’s.
The promotion also includes an online hub offering themed activities, recipes and promotional content tied to the film’s release.
