SPAR Denmark store expansion The opening of new supermarkets in various locations throughout Denmark is ongoing, serving the needs of local communities and tourist spots.
A new Spar Supermarked has moved in on the island Rømø and takes over a former competing store with a super market size of 700m². The spot serves fresh Danish produce, baked goods and summer essentials.
The store has a café, mini golf and has added a modern design, with the intention of catering to island residents as well as those who visit the area during the summer.
An even more recent development in the expansion of the SPAR Denmark store network is the opening of the very first supermarket in a holiday resort.
Situated at the new Nordborg Center Parcs, the SPAR Supermarket offers a range of Danish foods and vital items to guests during their holiday. The store boasts a broad selection of products, largely carried from local vendors and perfect for last minute holiday shopping.
In Vindinge opened a new SPAR Supermarket this spring, which became the sole supermarket in town. The 600sq m store has fresh produce, deli goods and a solid wine range.
The store is a community venture, with 400 local people buying shares and the store’s opening following years of discussion aimed at guaranteeing retail in the town.
These store openings are an example of SPAR Denmark’s focus on creating modern, locally oriented supermarkets for customers at their point of need, whether in hotspots or everyday settings.
