Walmart Canada Growth Summit Awards 50 Deals to Local Businesses

Walmart Canada Growth Summit attracted 120 entrepreneurs and small businesses from across the country to pitch their products directly to Walmart buyers. Held at the company’s head office in Mississauga, the event marked the first national growth summit in Canada under Walmart’s global program.

More than 50 participants were awarded “golden tickets,” signalling Walmart Canada’s commitment to listing new homegrown products in-store or online. These new deals represent immediate business growth opportunities for small Canadian suppliers.

The one-day summit included keynote sessions from Walmart Canada executives, workshops on supplier development, and more than 55 hours of one-on-one product pitch meetings with over 50 Walmart merchants. The event featured a wide range of Canadian entrepreneurs, showcasing a mix of food, wellness, family, and inclusive product innovations.

Walmart Canada says its goal is to support diverse Canadian companies and connect them with shoppers across the country. The company confirmed that new products from the summit will soon begin appearing on shelves and online listings.

The Walmart Canada Growth Summit is part of the global Walmart Growth Summit series, which has already taken place in the U.S., Chile, India, Mexico, and Africa. Walmart Canada has worked with local suppliers since 1994 and currently offers over 10,000 Canadian-made products in-store and online.
