Fuji Seal has signed an agreement with ITOCHU Logistics to begin implementation of a one-stop service that combines pharmaceutical packaging, inspection, and delivery. The partnership was signed through Fuji Seal’s CMO Business Division.
Fuji Seal is a packaging company with a strong track record in providing Japan-standard services for pharmaceutical products. The new service aims to support imported pharmaceuticals with combined functions across packaging and logistics.
Why The Alliance Matters
The number of biotech and pharma clients looking for full-scope support is growing. To meet this demand, Fuji Seal and ITOCHU Logistics are joining expertise. Fuji Seal brings inspection and packaging know-how. ITOCHU adds logistics support with 165 sites in 12 countries and 51 locations in Japan.
Together, the companies will offer clients a simplified option. Instead of using separate providers for packaging and transport, customers can now access both services through a single channel.
This alliance is part of Fuji Seal’s strategy to expand its pharmaceutical business under its FSG.30 initiative. The one-stop model is focused on imported pharmaceuticals and is aimed at making contract work more efficient and more stable.
The service will be presented at INTERPHEX JAPAN 2025, taking place from July 9 to 11 at Tokyo Big Sight. The event will showcase Fuji Seal’s packaging capabilities and how they align with ITOCHU’s logistics systems.
Both companies are also considering expanding the scope of the service to include further stages of support.
The Fuji Seal ITOCHU pharmaceutical logistics alliance marks a shift toward combined packaging and delivery models — offering greater efficiency for clients in a changing logistics environment.
